About the computation height for rooms revit lt measures the perimeter of a room at a defined distance above the base level of the room.
Calculate the defined areas in your project once the rooms project standards and room assignment types are assigned.
Perhaps you have a column in the room and don t want the area removed or perhaps you have a closet you want to be included in a bedroom.
Area plan views are listed in the project browser under area plans.
Use pick lines to apply area rules see the following procedures for details.

Click quantification tab areabook extension panel calculate areas.
Draw or pick the area boundaries.

To pick area boundaries click modify place area boundary tabdraw panel pick lines.
As you can see in the image below the closet walls are room bounding and prevent the closet area from being included.
In the calculate areas dialog specify the calculation type.
