You don t need to buy a manufactured solution to use in a neti pot.
Homemade neti pot solution sea salt.
The neti pot solution recipe requires simple supplies like non iodized salt baking soda and pure water.
Commercial and homemade rinses various nasal saline rinse kits are available commercially including the sinus rinse brand which contains pre mixed salt packages.
This is enough for one treatment.
To use combine about 8 ounces of lukewarm water distilled.
Prepare your neti pot solution.
Allow the salt to dissolve into the solution and insert the solution into a nasal sprayer or neti pot.
Alternatively a home made salt water mixture can be made and used in a neti pot squeeze bottle or nasal bulb syringe.
The water should be room temperature or just slightly warmer.
Mix together 3 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of baking soda add 1 tsp of this mixture into 1 cup of water and stir until the solids have dissolved using a neti pot ear bulb or saline rinse bottle.
Instructions in a small mixing bowl thoroughly combine the salt and baking soda.
Transfer to an airtight container.
You can use tap water if it s been boiled and cooled until lukewarm.
To complete the treatment mix six ounces of warm filtered water with 1 2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1 teaspoon of sea salt.
A homemade solution works just as well.

It is also easier to dissolve the salt in warm water.
Use approximately 1 2 tsp per 8 oz of tepid water.
Use 1 2 teaspoon of solution per 8 ounces of water in a neti pot.
If the water is too cold or too warm you will experience mild discomfort.

Combine the salt and baking soda in a mortar and pestle.
To make your own solution you need 1 ml salt to 1 dl.
So rather than purchasing this solution from pharmaceutical stores you can make this nasal irrigation solution at home within a few minutes.
Use lukewarm water as it feels more comfortable than cold.

Use water that s labeled distilled or sterile to prevent infections that can occur with other types of water.
